Introduction:

The Gospel Partners Movement welcomes you to our website. We are a missionary movement involved in the total transformation of the community. All over the world people celebrated the “Incarnation” of Jesus - God coming in human form in history.

Late Bishop Newbigin mentions that St. John in AD 100 writing about the significance of Jesus' coming in the first 18 verses of his Gospel as “Overture” is introducing the theme in a play.

Our Creator God is a loving and caring God. But we see the misery, devastation and death caused by the natural calamities, war, terrorism and various incurable sicknesses. The illiteracy and ignorance of the people in remote and backward areas who have no access to basic medical help.

St. John writes “in Jesus was life, and that life was the light of men the light shines in the darkness.” (Jn 1:4&5). Also he indicates in no uncertain words that “these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God and that by believing that you may have life in His name” (Jn 20:31).

Our concern is to share the available remedy for all the ills of humans and society. We wish and pray that you will support our concern in your prayers and also involving in our efforts by your support.

About us:
Gospel Partners Movement is a flame which was lit in India on the Lord's Day, October 3rd, 1999 at the historic Webb Memorial Church , Madurai . This movement was started by experienced missionaries, Church and mission leaders This is a well planned movement for the 21st century.

Of the 4635 people groups in India , Christian witness is seen in only about 800 people groups. A large number of people in India have never heard the Gospel even once. If we concentrate our efforts among responsive people groups and effect total transformation, it will ignite further people movements to Christ resulting in a chain reaction. The Gospel will spread in our nation like wild fire. No one can stop this expansion, this spreading flame.

Aim
  • Focusing on receptive people groups, yet unreached.
  • To raise more native missionaries to reach their own people groups.
  • Planting indigenous Churches.
  • Training indigenous leadership for the Church and society.
  • Holistic development of the believers.
  • Creation of the regional auxiliaries for the expansion of mission in their region.
  • To work in partnership with other mission agencies to complete the task.
  • Children home to educate Poor Tribal Children.
  • Adult Education in Tribal Areas.

Emblem
  1. The fish is a symbol which was used by the early church. Christians were a minority and many were slaves and were treated as the lowest of the lowest. They suffered persecution. They had a secret identification—the fish symbol! The word fish in Greek Ichthus has five letters. The first letter of all the words “Jesus Christ God's Son Saviour” put together makes the word Ichthus . Thus Christians in the early church can identify themselves in a common place without the knowledge of the enemies by drawing the fish symbol. Here is a declaration which is the heart of the Gospel. So we chose this.

  2. Secondly the arrows inside the circle symbolizes that there is partnership between Gospel Partners Movement and many – the converts, the missionaries, and the believers in general.

  3. Thirdly this also symbolizes movement . This fish and the arrows are in a moving posture.

Thus we chose a symbol which could represent the three aspects of our mission – the Gospel, the partnership, and the movement .

Our Motto
Mobilize partners : Introduce GPM to the people and get them to share the burden for and understand the need of the urgency to present the Gospel of our Lord, to all the people of our land.
Make disciples: Create an awareness for the need to bring people under the discipline of Christ.
Multiply indigenous Churches: Not mere buildings, but the real laity (God's chosen people), who will receive the wholesome blessings from our Lord and in turn become channels of such immeasurable blessings to others.
